    Sharp ARM455N Squeak noise

I got a squeaking noise coming from the document feeder. Started by lubing all the brass bushings, still making noise. Thought I had narrowed the noise to the PS roller or the clutch that drives it. Well, I changed both of them and I still have the squeak. Anybody else experience this squeak and find a solution?

Is it continuous, or does it cycle? I've seen worn SPF tire produce a rubbing noise. Can you try to describe your noise more specifically?

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Details

It only squeaks when the PS roller and the exit rollers turn together. If I just turn one I don't hear it. It does kind of sound like a rubber squeak. But it is not in the feed or separation roller.

Look to see if the rubber exit rollers are rubbing the plastic housing. Occasionally one of the rubbers will crawl down the shaft until it rubs on the plastic cover. Also, I've seen them rub on the lower plastic guide. You'll see distinct wear marks where it has been rubbing.

If you lift the SPF just a little while its running, and the noise stops while the motor is still going you can rule out the bottom guide. If the noise continues it could be the upper guide.

          I stopped the squeak

It was the gears that drive the clutches. I lubed the shafts and all is good. Thanks for everyones help
