[Error Code] Sharp MX-2700N H4-01 Code Not Going Away

We have a Sharp MX-2700N that when you open the door to replace the toner or the door on the side to remove a jam it codes out with an H4-01. We have run the reset with simulation 14 and replaced the fuser unit entirely and it still does it. Ideas? Thanks in advance!

According to the manual, you could have a fault in your AC line, or you may have a fault in the interlock switch. Only 2 non-fuser related problems in regards to H4-01.

Another longshot possibility is a dead fuse. I couldn't say which one for sure but I can remember from my training course last year that a dead fuse can cause some VERY strange problems (finisher not connected when no finisher is installed, random trouble codes etc), and it varies from model to model.

Akitu is right. Once I encountered the same problem I found out a blown fuse in the power supply. Another of our technician also find out the same trouble but the problem is the Triac also in the power supply.

Here is more info on the problem with this unit. Checked fuses in the back of the unit, and the pins and connectors at the fuser. All good.

This error takes over 4 miniutes to appear after opening AND closing either the front door or the right door. The screen says "warming up"(no other door, tray or function causes the error). If the main OR 2nd power switch is switched off before the error code appears (wait ~ 10 seconds and back on), the unit comes back on line as normal.

So this leaves the Interlock switch and PWB/PCU? In the service manual the only "Interlock switch" I can locate is in the top door of the Doc feeder.
Any input is APPRECIATED and welcome!!!!

try the HL pwb. it controls either the lamps or themistor/thermostats in the fuser (cant remember which one) have had to replace one for similiar problems before. it is inline between the fuser and ac pwb

had the same problem happen on two high copy count 3501s. tried a new fuser. tried replacing dc power supply and then hl driver and then pcu....all seperately. tested every wire. ended up being the mfp pwb had failed. seriously. both times were the same fix. id recommend that. I bet that will be your fix. id also recommend you resetting your temp settings back to default as a precaution. you can do this my changing the region setting for them mfp to something other tha USA, powering down the mfp then going back in and change it back to USA and restart again. Id bet the mfp pwb will be your fix though.
