    setting up user authentification for copying and scanning only

    hello guys, i went to client today that wants to setup authentication for copying and scanning from MX3610n,can someone point me to a TT, that can help, i dont see much technical bulletins on setting up eg.scan to email etc on the new MX3610N interface, can someone point me in the right direction please?thanks in advance

    i think this answers part of my question:TT-20196:dont think you can have authentication for copying only,can anyone confirm this for the MX3610N as well?thanks again

      You CAN authenticate for copy mode only. In the web page, enable authentication. Walk up users will now need a code when they want to use the machine.
      Next, make sure the "disable printing by invalid user" is unchecked. This will allow print jobs to be sent without the use of a code. However, this gives those printing user level authority which does not allow some finishing features. You have 2 options; change the user level to a higher authority or simply create a new user authority with the permissions you want.
