Check the clutch on the paper feed assembly for tray 1. It's tucked in there on the rear side and drives the feed rollers on the paper feed section (part #32 in section 13). Had one of these make that kind of noise right out of the box but I would get random jam codes.

Have a MXM363N, where the client says it sounds like paper dragging. To me, it sounds like a gear or pinch roller just spinning. I have heard that sound on other machines, like the ARM455, and replacing the delivery unit resolved the issue.

On this machine, I have replaced the delivery unit, cleaned and lubed the pinch rollers on the fusing unit, next to where the fuser web is. I have also removed the some drive gears on the right door to make sure it is not coming from there. I have not located noise and hope someone has.

Any help would be appreciated.
