    sharp 450/imagistics 4510??

I have been getting into imagistics 4510 and know it cross to a sharp 450.
question- how does one go about setting the machine to tell you when the toner is low. I have sharp tec info but can not find it in it. I know it will do it as we had a machine to display in the display" warning toner low" or something like that. most of our machine just try to add toner then stop and throw up the add toner message and the chip is dead. if we can get machines to warn customers they might change toner before chip is blown. we can reuse the chip on sharp toner and save money as sharp toner is cheaper. all of our machines are contract machine with toner included. has to be a setting somewhere.
also some of our machine won't print the "ALL CUSTOM SETTING LIST" which is in the "LIST PRINT" which is in "CUSTOM SETTINGS". the machines that won't print the all custom setting list will start up like they are going to but die down with out printing and machine locks up untill you clear print job or turn machine off. any though on this as we have looked in sharp info and can not find anything. also these machine do not have nic but will print

I'm not finding anything regarding 'toner low' in the service manual. I'm thinking it must be a change in the firmware.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I don't find anything either, but I found a cartrage, oem, on ebay for around $35.....that is alot better than messing around with the firmware and possibly messing things up.

Press and hold the copy key and it will show you total output and show toner remaining.
