    Sharp ARM256

Got this problem with adjustment of the developer.
Replaced new developer and run 25-2, after running this
the machine gave an error said: EL error . . . .
Seen this more on a ARM256 and an ARM316 ??

Anyone seen this same problem on developer adjusting ??

    Thanks in advance

Have you taken out the toner concentration sensor and wipe it off ? Have seen this be the resolution on numerous ARM237, 257,277,317 boxes. Seems to be developer sticks to sensor and gives false reading. Clean it off and value should be correct.

EE-EL is an overtoned condition. In a couple of cases I've had to run a couple 30% fill pages before running the developer stir. A good stir should be between 89 and 101 ideally. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

DavePo's answer has worked for me. I have forgotten this step a few times when changing DV but I have been able to take out the DV unit, put the toner cartridge back into the DV unit and tip it forward enough to remove the sensor for cleaning. After cleaning the sensor, running the 25-2 did not produce an error.
