    Ar m700 shuts off

New one on us, copier warms up as normal but as soon as the data light on control panel blinks it shuts down and powers back on. No error codes. If i leave network unpluged from copier it stays on and you can copy. I i swapped nick card and same problem. ANY IDEAS? THANKS.

Clear print queue and reseat HDD. I believe I may have had something similar with an ARM550N.

If not those then you might be looking at a fault in the power line or the boards.

Agree with akitu said. I faced same problem with ar-m451n, try to cancell all ur clients printing job im their pc. Possible got some error during spooling the data and made the mfp fail to decode the data. So restart and restart again.

I went and cleared the queue, reset the HD and still had the issue. I then replaced the HD and still the same. We then connected a laptop with crossover and it prints fine. We also tried connecting the network cable from a Dell printer that they use in the same room and it also shut the copier off. Any ideas? Thanks

That's just really weird. Your crossover test literally rules out the MFP as the cause. The second test of swapping the network connection also rules out a cable or switch port issue. What happens when you connect your laptop to the customers network, then print via their network?

Do you have NetScan? Disconnect the MFP, then scan the network. That will identify a dupe. Is it possible that some other kind of data is hitting the MFP's IP address? Are you getting PostScript Errors? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                  1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                  2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                  3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                  4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                  5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks to all of you who replied. Duplicate ip address was the problem, one of the companys employees had brought in there own hp printer and entered the same address as the copier from a configeration page he found. Of course he never asked if the company in the first place for permission. Again thank you.

Zootech was right, how bizarre it would shut down the copier.
