    [Jamming] Sharp MX-2301N Intermittent jaming

    Hi,hope you all doing great,

Need help with given above model,no problem with 2nd paper feed,A4,A3 running smooth, neither with bypass, say single copy from first tray and 1 paper sheet in vertical transport,2nd in registration,3rd one before exit, jammed.
only one clutch for both paper feeds, guess it can be ruled out, feed rollers replaced with new ones, first paper feed cleaned and lubricated, should i be looking in to vertical transport clutch for first feed?

really out of ideas here, your help is most welcome and appreciated ,Thanks for reading!

    Regards!

What is the jam code you are getting? Since the machine is jamming you can't get a printout of the jam positions, but you can run Sim 22-3 to get a jam code on the display. You can then check this sensor for proper operation.

i thought we can rule out the sensor's since 2nd paper is running flawless, and that way it's confirmed there is nothing wrong with registration, and exit sensors.your thoughts please?

The jam code isn't to say the sensor is bad. It tells where the jam is occurring and if the sensor was or was not reached.

The jam sensor just before the registration roller is a photo-reflective type. Be sure this is clean and the black part of the upper right door that is opposite it is also clean. You may have a paper dust build-up here which will make the sensor slow reacting to the movement of the paper. The jamming will start showing when running multiple copies and will progress to where it will show a jam when running just one copy.
