Re: quick question on sharp ar m207
Yours may, but it's not supposed to. Only the really small Sharps do that, like the Jaguar and Puma series.
The Pegasus series machines will light the lamp for a few seconds during initialization, each time the DF is raised, each time it comes out of sleep mode, and when you're copying or scanning. It sounds like a lot, but it's off most of the time. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

adjust the pre-heat mode down. The exposure lamp will stay on until the machine goes into the pre-heat mode. This is done with the system settings in the energy management. I had an AR 208 melt the pad under the original lid because of this.Comment

On the AR-M207 the copy lamp does stay on when it's not in use. You can disable this in Key Op. programs- Device Control- Copy lamp waiting setting. If you turn it off it will take longer for the first page to come out since it has to calibrate the scanner first.sigpicComment
