    [CQ] mx7040n printing problem

    Brand new machine installed. When printing from Mac, pdf and word prints fine. When printing from customers multi ad creater no pages output unless binary errors turned on, then will not print any images. Customer also has an MX5500N with ps installed, same document prints fine. They also print generic ps documents from a print server mac computer, also prints fine on MX5500N but no output on new 7040. Has anyone run into issues like this before? So far I have contacted tech support hotline and they were no help what so ever. I tried printing to the 7040 with the 5500 driver with the same result. Thanks in advance for ANY advise on this. I am not a mac expert by any means but have been networking copier for the last 4 years and never ran across anything like this. Thanks again!

      Make sure firmware is 1.2. It corrects an issue where the NIC drops off the network. You could wireshark it and find where the packets are going.
      Other than that, it is so new, each new glitch is a learning experience.

              Just got an early release of the new firmware to be released to dealers soon. It solved all my problems. It appears that there is a laundry list of fixes they had to implement on this machine.

                  We are currently fighting a scan to network issue on this same model. Unfortunately, firmware did not work for us.
                  Gotta love the new stuff, no support and full of glitches.
                  And I don't know about the rest of you, but Sharp support is horrible since they moved to New Jersey.

                      What version of firmware did you load? Here is the one I got from Sharp. According to Sharp website they have not released it yet.
