    SHARP AR237 DISPLAY

    Have a copier display that is stuck with moving stars, I did the basics, reseat connectors reseat rom and still have the same issue. Thanks for replys.

    I've seen the ARMM9 for the fax cause this, pull the memory if installed, and try again.

      Thanks ZOOTECH, I removed the memory and still have the same problem. I just got a parts machine in that has a good main board, I will post results, any more suggestions please post. Thanks again.

          Remove the fax board completely and if you have the network print (ARP17) control board replace it with the standard print control board (if you have one), have had lock up issues with both boards at one time or another.

            I've seen it on some of the larger MX colour machines, but leaving a flash drive inserted may sometimes cause the copier to try to boot from the flash drive, and will hang exactly as you describe.
