    AR 168D Constant Chatter

John, Thanks for the help. The patch worked.

I have a new Sharp AR 168D that I just installed. The customer is an old soul. He does not like the constant noise from the "exposure system" constantly resetting to the home position.

I told the customer to set the preheat and sleep mode, but then he is upset about the delay before a copy can be made.

I need to find him an old Sharp SF 155.

Can I do anything about the machine readjusting the exposure sytem constantly. Why does it do this anyway?

    Thank you for your help.

It's just homing itself. Yes it's annoying. But you've identified the two options:
    1) short auto shutoff time.
    2) just ignore it.

    It can't be disabled.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
