    Sharp Coverage Counter

Can Sharp machines (specifically Polaris) count coverage?

For example: in Ricoh, and possibly other brands, you can print or request remotely a count of different coverages used, 0-5%, 5-10%, 10-15%, etc. I had a look through multiple service manuals and handy guides of other machines to see if there were any SIMs that could help.

I am currently assuming that they do not, and want to know if there is any third-party or OSA application that could.

Our friend has spoken on this issue:

Sim 22-25 will show CMYK average for last page and total over life of machine.
This sim appears on all new machines, but was a hidden sim on the CR2's. It was not available on the CR1's.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Sadly not what I need. I really need prints per coverage percentage, looking through Sharp and talking with some Sharp reps. it looks like they don't do it. Third-party may be my only option so far, if there is a third-party option.

On the newer Sharps, the 22-6 print out will list coverages for CMYK. If you are referring to coverage on individual print jobs, you would need third party software.

            Ditto that from our friend:
... There is no other way to get this data directly from the device. There might be some kind of third-party wonder that does it, but not sure.
