    MX-4110N FUSER settings for flaking

With default settings we have experienced poor fusing on the edges of paper, especially on duplex. It would be preferred that the settings for plain paper would properly fuse full color pages that are color laser copier specs i.e.: medium gloss laser paper. Anybody have any suggestions (engine soft switch settings, fuser temp settings, etc.) that may help?

Thanks! I made a type error when posting, actually a 4101N, maybe these settings will apply. If you have any additional info for the 4101N I could use it, thanks.

Trying to do 2 sided with glossy paper can be a problem. We have just tried different brands of paper til we found one that worked for the client. Preprinted glossy has especially poor fusing issues. When was your last color calibration done on this unit? There's a tech tip that flaking can be caused by poor color calibration. Check the last page of your 22-6 to find the date if you're not sure or just do a color calibration. It's pretty easy on this unit.

        Good luck.

The 23-28lb setting seems to have worked, thanks ST. Bil, I'll check it - I think it does need a calibration, may be laying toner down too thick, will check. Seems like they all have had this issue since the MX-3501 series, guess they want to keep the heat down.
