Good news. We found the problem and it was a bugger. The mag-clutch for the primary transfer was rusted AND the e-clip on the opposite side of the shaft popper off! So, I pulled the drive system from a parts machine and installed it.
(Because the transfer clutch was screwed up it was causing the tension on the belt to constantly cycle, which produced the screwy cq on color prints.)
hey Buddy, I am happy you figured it out, can you upload what the copy looked like when you had the problem been having lots of probs with yellow developer/toner spilling at PM's,thanks in advance.
Sorry Red. I didn't save any copies. It's easy to see the problem though. If you cheat the front door, watch the cam that you turn in order to remove the primary transfer. If it's the same issue as mine, the plastic "key-way" will be moving (almost constantly) instead of staying in the proper position.
When I said the yellow was all over the place, it looked like a background issue. But it wouldn't be consistently in the same area. I wasn't having any developer issues. Also, the black copies were perfect no matter what the primary belt was doing.
Good luck.
