    Noise

This Sharp ARM-237 is making a noise as the paper exits. There is a piece on the copier, where it exits, that shifts the paper as if trying to offset when sorting. However I am not sorting and this piece is constantly moving. Why would this piece move when sorting is not selected? Thank you for any help given.

Is the output selected for "Offset"?

Yes. I can turn it off manually each time before copying and the piece won't work; if I disable the part I disble sorting; I'm guessing this is all that can be accompished???
      Thanks!!!

Log into the Key Operator Programs, go to Copy Settings, then Initial Settings, and choose No Sort; it is probably set to Offset.

From time to time the offset motor/assembly will fail. By this point the delivery frame is probably baked from fuser heat and should be replaced anyway to eliminate many issues you will encounter, it contains the offset shift mechanism. Part is under $150 or so depending on source. CFRM-0038RS69
