I have an MX-3100n that, when you boot up, the "please wait" message comes on (that usually flashes for a moment then goes away), but in this case, it stays on, and the machine is not operational. No error code. I can't get into SIM mode, can't really do anything. I've emergency flashed the firmware, and the update shows successful when I do it, but still the problem persists. One of our supervisors had a note about replacing the PCU flash rom. We did that, but still the issue. Any experience with this issue?

Re: mx-3100 please wait
Go with the above answers, and if they don't resolve it check out the fuser. If the lamp cracks near the connector it can do this too. Check operations with sim 5-2.Cthulhu for president! Why settle for the lesser evil?Comment

Re: mx-3100 please wait
I apologize, I wish I had posted the resolution at the time. I went back through my notes and info, and I didn't find the final answer to what I used. I believe we wound up changing the PCU PWB, but I'm not 100% sure (it figures this is the one I didn't note). Sorry I wasn't more help.Comment
