Can anyone give me any info on acquiring a copy of WINFAST? I have called 3 other sharp dealers and sharp itself and no one seems to be able to help. WINFAST is a program that has been advertised on every FO series sharp fax since the late 90s. The latest software update for it is on SHARPNET and came out n March of this year. WINFAST allows remote modem connect diagnostics and service readings from this series of fax. Any information on acquiring a copy would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, WINFAST is also the biggest pain in the Axx. You really really don't want it.
Say your remote diagnostics are on. Say you attempt to contact the affected fax. About 1/2 of the desired data is transferred, then cuts off. Then it tries again. Then it tries again. Then it tries again. Then it tries again. You get the idea.
So you arrive at the service call. It says "Winfast" on the screen. After 30 seconds it clears and you can fax. Five minutes later "Winfast". Forever, until you shut off the fax receiving it and reboot the computer running Winfast.
As far as I know, I never worked properly.

1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
