Do you realize that we bill $150 per hour to perform these tasks? Do you really expect us to train you to do it for yourself for nothing, from scratch? The manuals are not perfect, but you can figure it out for yourself if you read carefully.

Personally, I will help certain endusers that really make a serious effort. When I see that effort I'll jump right in. =^..^=
I understand where you are coming from and I know I am totally green on sharp equipment but I have been repairing HP laserjets since the original, so I am familiar with the basics. I suspect I have been servicing equipment longer than you've had birthdays but none of it has been made by Sharp and I usually need no manual. I was looking for an answer, but will take the lecture and assume I'm too old to learn something new.

Thanks to all those who have tried to help this old dog.

Sharp use a "dual component" system-toner as well as developer. The developer material which is iron filings and toner mix is what needs to be replaced at 75K. It must then be properly calibrated with sim 25-2.

OK. Perhaps that was a bit harsh, but you did not present any credentials as a professional. And you show some large gaps in knowledge, like dual component developing. Do you really have 50 years experience? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

You need to get the service manual which can be downloaded online as Paul /Manuals4 U on this site has offered to you. You then need tho PM the machine which is to change drum and cleaning blade and change the developer not the unit but the developer particles in dv unit which instructions are shown in manual. You should cleans mirrors etc as already suggested here as they can cause intermittent lines. When you change drum and blade you need to clean out the process unit (cleaning unit/main charge unit etc)
If you are having a little difficulty and need more advice after starting job with manual then come here again for more assistance and as you are already an HP tech with many years of experience , many people here and especially Blackcat66 will help you now that we know you are a tech and not customer. Good Luck. Frank/ActionPhotocopy

Thank you for your kind reply. HP units have many of these components in their toner cartridges, so I am pretty green when dealing with them on another machine. I am also thinking the service manual I have downloaded is missing some info. I'll get another one. Thanks again for the help.
