    [Misc] AL-1642CS Flashing toner light after toner replacement and drum is lightly coated

    I have an AL-1642CS that a customer brought into my shop and they stated that the add toner light was flashing. Upon inspection I found the following: Flashing toner light, drum lightly coated with toner and with the doors cheated and the drum unit removed toner is dusting. I checked the grounds on the drum itself, the drum shaft I put a little bit of conductive grease. Checked the charge unit and cleaned the contacts on the charge unit and the contacts inside the machine. Please help if you are able.

          Thank you for your input. I have replaced the drum and blade and I'm still getting the same results.

              Sounds like a re-charged toner cartridge, or is it OEM?

                      Try another toner cart. and or the transfer unit is cracked.
