    Sharp AR-163 indicator light flashes toner

    Greetings to all, I have a problem with this olivetti "indicator light flashes Toner" I tried to replace the developer and do not sim. 25-01, the toner is new and original, I also tried to change the sensor of the developer, but nothing the light turns off, what I can say is that the turning off and on the copier itself runs for 3-5 seconds then as if you turn off the flashing and remains, thank you so much who can give me a hand to solve this problem ... I do not know what to do

          The AR-163 does not have a developer setting simulation, only a counter reset.

          There are two main possibilities:

          1) The toner cartridge may be seized up. Try turning the toner feed coupler on the cartridge. Sometimes you can free it up

          2) The most common cause to false toner add conditions is damage to the toner add motor. I had thought that all the original plastic shafted toner add motors had been replaced by now. The plastic shaft breaks at the roll pin leaving the toner coupler in the end of the toner cartridge, or laying in the bottom of the machine.

          Once a toner empty condition has been determined on the CRUM chip on the toner cartridge, you will not be able to use that cartridge. From then on it will always be treated as an empty toner cartridge regardless of how much toner is actually present. Replace the toner motor (RMOTD0016QSZ1). If the coupler cannot be found, install new (NCLP-0007QSZ1). =^..^=
          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

              Machines like the AR-163 have the newer version of toner motor with metal shaft. Could just be a blown chip on toner cartridge. If manually turning gears and shakong cartridge back and forth does not correct problem then try another cartridge. Also which cartridge is it as there are a couple of different version where the drive is a little different in back and machine won't recognize the other toner. (such as an old ar-201nt or some generic ones). Frank/ActionPhotocopy
