Sharp AL-1631 Pale Copies in middle

I have a al-1631 it copies pale more than half of the paper but mostly in the middle. The left and right images copies ok. Im wondering whether its a drum or laser issue. I have cleaned the corona and cleaned d laser glass but same problem. I have aslo cleaned the scanner assembly and mirrors. The fuser is also ok.
What is the most likely cause?

I would try a new drum then toner but your symptoms don't really point to that. Is the light part of the copy repeated on your image?? If so then it is the drum. They will wear on the ends and start leaking to drum ground. You will see on the drum where it is worn through on one of the ends. You can fix this with some clear nail polish but be careful!

    Good luck.

Most likely you have a dirty laser unit (LSU). It needs a technician to remove and open the LSU in order to clean the mirrors & polygon mirror motor.

the scanner mirrors may have a haze on them.

Replace the laser unit as a diagnostic...
