    Sharp AR-M277

Before I start, I have both Service and Parts manuals for this model ~ anyone needs them I'll send them to you for free ...

I have replaced the Sub-Frame that houses the Developer, Drum, & Fuser ... the fuser mounting broke, ie: the fuser would no longer bolt in !, there were a lot of broken / cracked pieces, the Delivery units above the fuser had some broken / cracked pieces as well ~ instead of replacing the entire assembly (exit unit 1) I'm hoping to replace the frame and remount the parts ... my question is: the second delivery unit above it is broken where the exit wheels attach ... is this unit used if you don't have a Finisher / Sorter ??? as I could just put it back in and fix only the primary exit unit ??

I know this is an older unit and probably should be replaced or thrown away ... but it's a low miler and I'm repairing it for a long time customer, any help would be appreciated !!

    Thanks ... Mike

If the machine has a job separator tray, it can be removed and the machine should operate OK.

P.S. The unit in question is the one above the exit unit that does offset stacking and has the two fans attached to it ~ the customer does not have a finisher or sorter or job separation tray ...

I agree with Zootech , if you are not sending paper out to a finisher, that second delivery unit can be left in with missing rollers, etc that fall out with age. Good luck on rebuilding the first delivery unit. I tried rebuilding one to save someone $ but it wasn't worth the extra time & frustration.

You will have to cheat the door switch for the upper door. Also you might think about putting on of the latch covers like the MXM264 has on it to prevent people from opening the door.
