    Wrinkling on 11 x 17 Prints, MX-4101N

I know the wrinkling is coming from the fuser but I'm not sure what is causing it. There is a cleaning roller that I took out and cleaned, didn't help. Not sure where to go from here.

    Note: 8.5 x 11 sheets are fine, it only affects the 11 x 17.

In regards to the cleaning roller in place in these fusers, I've removed it with no ill effects. Same for the 2600/3100 fusers. I find it just gets thick with toner and will actually do more harm than good.

We do the same. I have had two instructors tell me to pull and pitch that turd.

I had this exact problem, would wrinkle ledger but not legal or letter didn't matter what tray I used. To make a long story short I wound up rebuilding the fuser and have had no problems since. FYI the unit only had about 40K on the original fuser when this started happening. Buddy had the same problem but with all paper sizes and just replaced the lower pressure roller and his is working just fine.

            Good luck.

We have that trouble on all our 4101. It started at around 70k copies, on ledger first ,then on letter. Replaced fuser with a new unit on some, then 70k copies later same problem. Sim 48-6 fix works good. Sharp said pressure roller is to blame....

it starts with 11x17, but with time will move to smaller papers. i think its something with the uh, cracked collars, completely broken collars, or defects in the roller itself, but on a 4100 a uh is the best place to start for wrinkling. the lh is pretty tough on these fusers, never had one not make life, the uh is the issue. a uh always fixes my wrinkling. If the fuser has been rebuilt recently, check that the bearing rings are on the outside of the fuser frame, they are a tight fit and are very easy to seat on the inside of the fuser frame.
