Re: MX-2600 fax issue
May sound silly but check the phone cords. Had a customer last week went from AT&T to Time Warner for the ISP. Time Warner used a four line phone cord and killed faxing; could send but not receive. Use a two line phone cord.
On FXX2 and FXX3, I use these soft switch settings and they work 90% of the time:
SW 27: 00111111
SW 28: 11111101
SW 29: 01000101
SW 72: 01000110
If that doesn't work, it is the phone line. Have the customer call the ISP and ask if the their packetization is 10 milliseconds or less OR the line supports G711 or T.38 codecs. Most likely, they will have no idea wtf you are talking about; always gives me a good chuckle.
