    [Dead] MX-M 700n

I changed the CIS unit. I turned the copier on and everything seemed to start up then I noticed no display.
When changing the CIS unit. I turned off the power switch, but did not turn off main power switch or un plug the machine.
I then removed the operation panel unit and installed it to another MX-M550n and the panel unit worked fine. I then installed the panel unit from the MX-M550 into the MX-M700n and I again got no display. So these tests eliminate the operation panel unit as the problem.(i hope) now do i go straight to the MFP controller PWB. and/or mother PWB. any ideas?
    thanks,
    In-the_dark.

ccd and op panel go to a scanner junction pwb then to the scanner countrol pwb. the cis appears to go straight to the scanner control pwb. i would recomend trying the scanner control pwb

@silver thanks for the info. your info backs up what i researched in the actual wiring chart. Good to hear it from another! I'll be getting my boards on Friday, will post again after install.

ok, I tested out the SCN CNT PWB, SCN RELAY PWB, MOTHER and PCU BOARDS. Still same problem. Now checking out DC MAIN POWER PWB, and found I have no continuity over Scanner control PWB protection. could it be a fuse problem?

traced problem to cis harness cable. was causing a direct short on dc board fuse.
