MX-M700 etc Doc Filing and Image send Disabling?

Could both of these buttons be disabled?? I have a customer that does not use those two features and is constantly pushing them, then calls to place a service call for the "copier not making copies"......(Public school with lots of users)

After combing through the op manual, I can see nothing that would indicate they can be disabled. Tell them to place a sticky note over the buttons with the text "Do not use" and hope that covers your bases, else start billing them for frivolous calls.

Make sure your reset time is really short so that it goes back to copy mode right away is the only thing I can think of to help. Normally it is defaulted to 1 minute not sure what the shortest time is.

One method is to physically disable the switches on the front panel PCB or place something under the key tops to prevent them fro being depressed.

Unsolder the buttons from the control PWB so the buttons are still in working order, then if they'd like them used later tell them they'll have to purchase a new board. 2 birds with one stone! The machine works the way they want it, and no more stupid calls!
