Sharp ARM 450 Change Toner Cartridge

I was called to look at some Sharp ARM 450 copiers. One was saying, "Change Toner Cartridge" so I took a cartridge from another Sharp ARM 450 machine that was working and put it into this machine, but it still kept saying "change toner cartridge". So I took another, and another and another until I gave up. However, when I returned the cartridges to their respective copiers they began to say, "Change toner cartridge". Now I cannot get the working machines to work and I am stuck. Have you ever had a problem like this? Please help, I need help fast. I never saw this with a Sharp machine.

Sharp toner cartridges have a CRUM chip that stores the "Empty" condition on the chip once toner empty is determined.

So let's say that you have a bad toner motor that doesn't rotate. You install a new cartridge, no toner get's to the developing unit within a set amount of time, the machine sends the signal to the CRUM chip "you're empty." Now regardless of how much toner is actually in the cartridge, the CRUM chip says "I'm empty."

Sorry to say those toner cartridges cannot be used. Now you've got to find out exactly why the toner is not making it to the developing unit.
    1) does the developing unit agitate?
    2) does the toner sensor detect toner density properly (use sim 25-01)?
    3) does the toner motor rotate?
    4) does the CRUM chip engage the connector properly?
    5) does the toner drive coupler engage properly?

Most likely, it's going to take a couple more toner cartridges to determine which one of these is happening. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

That's as far as I can get you. You'll have to do some thinking yourself now.

If you just don't know what to do with all that information, you should just hire a competent copier technician. =^..^=
