    MX4111N - Right door open

A co-worker went to a MX-4111 for POD1_S jams, and the copier has 1500 total copies.

He took out the delivery unit and fusing unit, to try and correct issue. When he reinstalled the units, the machine continuously says the right door is open.

In 30-1, the DSW-F and DSW-R are both highlighted. I understand the DSW-F will be lit in 30-1, if DSW-R is not activated, so I am not concerned to much about DSW-F. The DSW-R switch is working, we tested the switch. We did not get to test the connection at the PWB, they were closing up shop.

He had the machine unplugged while working on it and did not remove back cover, so I am not thinking he sparked a board, but I guess a possibility. I am feeling that it is something stupid and hoping someone has run into a similar situation.

    Thanks for any help.

You had the delivery unit taken out, the plugs which connect to the delivery unit are on the same harness as the front door switch. The front & right door switches interlock on their circuits. Check to make sure the delivery unit is plugged in correctly and there are no bent pins as well.

      The connectors were in correctly.

Checked continuity in active and inactive states with both DSW-R and DSW-F. Continuity came back fine from PCU and DC PWB.

The problem was with DC PWB, swapped boards with another copier and problem followed DC PWB.

      Thanks for the help.

        Congratulations! =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
