I Have checked the harness connection between the lamp unit and PWB MCU, I have also made sure the connectors are good and the harness is free from nicks and damage(visiual inspection). I have then changed out the lamp unit and the PWB MCU. I still get the code after each change. I searched the Sharp idnc site for any bulletins and found MFP-TB-299. I'm sure the environment the copier is in, isn't a high humidity enviornment(air conditioned room). But am willing to try anything. Has anybody ever have this problem ? And how did you remedy it? Also Sharp don't have the "new" lamp unit in stock thats listed in the bulletin. Any ideas will be looked into.

Have you metered out the lamp thermostat? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

You haven't change the harness yet? I was able to make a bad harness work until I had a replacement by swapping ends of the cable. The end that was broken made contact when it was flattened out. The break could be internal and you won't see it. Flexing back & forth all those times and over all of those years makes us oldrn ready to break at any momentComment
