    FYI - AM or PM?

A field tech called me about a Virgo machine that would copy like a 'negative' with heavy background (reverse B/W), but the print from a PC was fine. Had him do a self print (TC64-5) and that had a heavy background as well.
What is weird is that if he was disconnected from the network, copies were good. Had him do a NIC reset, and things were fine.
So what was it - AM (another miracle) or FM (freakin' magic)?

I don't know ... but it sure sounds interesting. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I had to clean it up when explaining to customer why the machine was working.

Sounds like a weird coincidence, I'm assuming it lost shading values - but I can't possibly explain why it came back to life after being removed from the network.

I like to go with the FM. Thinking about the symptoms is making my troubleshooter hurt. lol
