Good morning my fellow techs,
I've come across an intersting problem yesterday. On a Sharp MX-2640N's document feeder, every page I attempted to run through jammed upon contact with the SPPD3_N sensor (About 90 times in all, from what the machine history showed). I read Dave's post about the same issue on a MX-M453N (http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/sh...-DSPF-jam-code) and after checking the SRRC clutch, that worked fine. I checked all the surrounding motors and those seem to be good as well. After checking the sensor itself in a test, it worked fine too. All of this done, I've decided to go ahead and change the sensor any way just to elimate that as the issue. Strange thing is, I can't locate the part number for it. There's a picture of it in the parts guide but when the part number is entered on SharpNet it shows up as a "Bearing". Can anyone shed some light on this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. - Yes, I did call tech support and yes, I did update the firmware.
