    Sharp AR-M550U fuser

I was at this customers a few months ago and did the reset code for the fuser and removed paper and suggested they replace the fuser as it was worn. I never worked on this particular model until this one time and they called me back to put a fuser in. they ordered the part themselves and although over the past 15 years i usually go in blind, i am getting busy and am wondering what the exact procedure is to remove and replace the fuser on this particular model. I don't have the service manual and may have to purchase it if it will save me time but hoping someone out there has some experience with this. Thank you

Power Off. The two blue shoulder screws may still be there. Latch at front and rear.

Re-install the same way. Release fixing pressure with two large gray flocked screws. In U024 reset various fuser maintenance counters: Web day, web count, upper roller, lower roller, etc.

    That's it. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Hopefully they purchased the AR703FU1 fuser. If they did then you will need to install the cleaning roller that comes with the fusing unit. If they purchased the AR701FU fusing unit you will need to do the same thing but it is a different style roller, if by some unfortunate chance they purchased the AR700FU then there is no cleaning roller with this fusing unit. The cleaning rollers are easy to install.

      Good luck.
