    MX-2615 with c4-00

    Hello, I am new to sharp and I am going to be dispatched to this machine with this code.I looked up the code, it says ptc hv trouble. Just wondering if anyone has any advise on this problem before I go out there. Thanks for any help.

    You might be able to clear the code, but it would return soon. Take a PTC kit with you. (p/n CCASZ0339DS51)

      Thanks for your reply, sorry to leave you hanging so long. A different tech was sent to the call and he said he slid out the transfer assy and checked and cleaned contacts and such and when he reinstalled it all was fine.

        Those ION PTCs aren't exactly bulletproof. In my experiences I've found that once they start throwing a C4 code it'll usually return in a short time frame, better off replacing them to save the return trip.

        Haven't had one fail since they updated the part, however...
