    SharpDesk for multiple users

I have a customer who's dispatcher computer has multiple users. ~4-5 users on the same computer with separate log ins. Every time one of the other dispatchers come on duty, it screws up the sharpdesk to where the other users aren't able to scan to their desktops anymore.
Any thoughts on why this is happening or how to resolve this issue? I believe it's windows 7 and an MX-M264N.
    Thanks!

I've said many dozens of times over - if an install can be done without Sharpdesk, do it without Sharpdesk. It's only a shell program for features the copier already has, and with the profile printing can just cause more problems than they'll resolve. The only thing Sharpdesk brings of value to the metaphorical table is the OCR, the copier can do absolutely everything else Sharpdesk can do but without the hassle and user restrictions.

To scan to a desktop, make sure the desktop is shared on the network and insert the folder path into the copier's address book.
To scan to a network folder, follow the above steps.
To scan to email (easiest method of dealing with multiple users) make sure the DNS settings are correct and you have a valid login to an SMTP server (hotmail, gmail, local email etc.) along with the appropriate port (25 is open, 465/587 are for SSL connections).

The above steps should resolve your problem without messing around with Sharpdesk.

Your SharpDesk disk allows you only so many (4 or 5) included licenses. For additional users you need to add additional licenses.

So you can buy additional licenses or use an alternative scan method. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

You've made me re-think the way we do some things here... I never considered *not* using sharpdesk, but absolutely it's a viable, less problematic and cheaper alternative!

Multiple licenses on the same computer? I've never attempted that... I suppose I assumed that the licenses covered a particular machine, not the quantity of users.

Best part of not using Sharpdesk is the user limit goes up anywhere from 1000-5000 users depending on the machine you have. No extra fees for extra licenses either!

Sharpdesk is more of a sales tool then anything else.

Best thing to do with multiple users on one station:
1 set each user a separate desktop scan location.
2 under each users login open network scanner tool and change the ftp port number for each user
3 insist that when a user leaves that station they MUST log off. Not switch users because this can cause FTP port issues.

Most software has a step that asks if you want to install for that user or all users....
Not sure if Sharpdesk has it as I avoid it at all costs.
