Image variance on Sharp compared to other models.

I have a customer who bought a brand new MX5410N copier. They are trying to run a bulletin using perforated legal size paper. Every couple of copies runs too close to the perforation and they're unhappy with it, but the movement is so minimal that it falls within the 3mil spec of Sharp. Has anyone else run into this issue, and does anyone have the variance specs for other machines like Canon, Konica, or Samsung?

This is starting to be a trouble machine right out of the gate. It's a mx5140n, not a 5410. Customer complains that the print isnt lining up with her pre perforated paper.....

The real issue I am having now is occasional paper skew.

Pre-perforated paper cannot buckle in the same way that non-perforated paper does. Instead of buckling it just folds, and doesn't correct the skew. There's nothing you can do with that media, except maybe printing rotated 90 degrees (perf in the feed direction).

Pre-perforated media has been a pain in my ass on several occasions. Don't guarantee that any machine will feed it well. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Remind the customer that this is an office photocopier, not a production printer.

I have had 2 of these Virgo2 (4140 and 5140) throw H3-00 codes. Also had an issue with the new tandem trays (DE20 and 21). PCU board was replaced as the HL board failed to remedy the issue.
I am crossing my fingers as this machine was re-installed this morning.

Why do I feel I just jinxed myself......?

LMAO, I should have kept my big mouth shut. Headed out to another H3-00 on a MX-5141 in the morning.

If I were stuck with this situation I would change the buckle for the tray running this paper to as low as possible and run the machine in heavy stock mode to slow it down.

Had a report from the Sharp gang this morning that those H3-00 codes on new X141 machines were remedied by reconnecting all fuser connectors, may be worth a shot if you haven't done so already.

Sorry it took so long to reply back. The main issue ended up being label adhesive stuck on the PS unit. After disassembling and cleaning, I also ran TC 50-28 again just to double check. This seemed to fix their problems. Of course I got a call thirty minutes later saying they "forgot" not to use the easy peel labels and got another one stuck........

You "forgot" they had a service contract and accidentally billed them.
