    Ar-M237 document feed problem

I have a friend in the business who wanted to borrow a document feeder for an AR-m237. I mistakenly gave him an AR-RP3 which is for an AR-235/275 series. After he connected the document feeder the machine acknowledged document on tray but did not respond to start key.
When he reattached his the original document feeder it also acknowledged document on tray but did not respond to start key.
Prior to attaching the RP-3 his customer's document feeder was functional but had a copy quality issue. Was a board blown on machine due to connecting wrong feeder. When I looked in service manual the AR-M237 appears to be using an RP7 feeder. The document feeder itself has no model ID plate as does the rp3 because the the radf on the AR-M237 comes with machine and not an option.
Please advise on this matter as it appears I have caused another problem on machine by giving him wrong feeder. Frank/ActionPhotocopy

Yes, that could be a problem.

Eighteen of those connections remain about the same, but the remaining seven were distinctly different, and a couple of nice dead shorts. For example CN904 pin1 probably blew fuse F901 (24v), and CN904 pin19 probably blew fuse F906 (3.3v), on the MFP. There may also be damage to the Connector PWB and/or the MCU, but you won't know until you get the correct DF installed and the fuses replaced. And who knows what damage resulted to the DF.

Your friend is probably re-thinking his request for help. =^..^=

Oops! CN904 pin 12 is a dead short too. Same fuse F901.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
