Sharpdesk Email option unavailable

Client running the following:

Win7 64bit
Sharpdesk 3.3
Outlook 2013

Does anyone know why the email option is unavailable, in sharpdesk, when running the above specs. I know Sharpdesk is a cow of a program at times, but the client is familiar with it and is insisting on using it. Is it a directory issue or something with Outlook 2013?
