    [Error Code] C1-00 & F2-58 Codes on AR-M355N

We are getting random C1-00 and F2-58 error codes over and over again and have replaced the power supply, drum unit, all charging units, and multiple boards. When you copy/print from tray1 it will also IMMEDIATELY error with the C1-00; yet all of the other trays work fine (until the random C1-00 triggers).

    Any Ideas? Thanks in advance!

If I were you I'd run simulation 25-01 and look at the humidity readings from the developing humidity/temperature sensor. I'm betting you'll get some extraordinary readings. My theory is that the C1-00 code results from the primary charge being automatically adjusted too high to compensate for a high humidity environmental reading that is inaccurate, and shorting the primary charge as a result.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Interesting. I'm not finding an F2-58 error code for this series in SM or any of the newer ones that I looked at. Similar error codes do tend to point towards a humidity sensor issues as blackcat states.

Good luck with this. Will be very interested in what you find out.

replace temp/humidity sensor in dev unit, or replace dev unit(I would replace dev unit as arcing in low humidity may cause failure as the tem/humid sensor is in bottom of dev close to td sensor). had arm355 with f2-58 error , which is temp/humid sensor failure (some reason this code was not put in sm) it happens when there is very low humidity and sensor flakes out. there is bulletin for mxm350 series ,with fw upgrade for f2-58 error, but nothing for older series.

have had f2-58 on this series only in winter time here in northeast.

          Bil,
The F2-58 never made it into the error code list, but further down in the detailed description there is a paragraph or two. that's the benefit to using Adobe's search function: it will find F2-58 wherever it is in the manual. =^..^=

Thanks for the tip. What is even more interesting is that I was looking in the ARM355USMsplit service manual and it's still not there so I looked in the SM-ARM355N-AE1 manual and it is there as you mentioned. So the "U" version manual doesn't have it but the "N" version manual does????? I wonder why that might be? I really hate when Sharp does that! Very irritating......

            Thanks for the heads up.

We went over an looked at simulation 25-1 and found the following readings every time even after re-boots and copies made:

              Humidity Area: 15-20
              Temperature Area : 25-34
              Developer Reference: 79

Do these readings appear normal to you guys/gals? Thanks in advance!

That sounds conceivable, but you know better than me. What was the temperature and humidity when you were standing there?

I'd still change out that sensor board. It may be giving intermittent readings. =^..^=

temp is 77 to 93F if copier is showing centigrade.(355 in our office showed 22-24 for temp and office is at about 72, copier was just turned on then ran 25-1 sim.) if you press start when you are in 25-1 you will get current readings. your dev reference is low. as blackcat said replace the part as you are getting the temp/hum sensor failure.
