MXM363N pull-out keyboard lights flashing

Have a unit that just started doing this. Keyboard was working fine for the past 2 years, unit has 38K.

When you pull out the keyboard all 3 green lights flash on and off in a regular pattern. Momentarily on then about 1 second off then repeat. Have replaced the following components:

keyboard assembly
usb conv pwb
mother pwb

Only thing I could find so far as a reference is this post http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/sh...esponding.html There is nothing on Sharp IDNC that I could find. Parts are known good not new.

Before I go to the trouble of replacing the MFP PWB was hoping someone has had this issue and I'm just overlooking something simple.

maybe someone else did?
If the DIP switch control is configured for the rear USB port only, the external keyboard unit will not function

check the mother board , on some of the color machines had to replace the mother board and/or the usb hub on the mother board.

just looked at wiring diagram for this series there is a usb hub pwb attached to mother board at cn17

i have done 2 503 series and a 2600 series in the past 2 months and they have all been the usb conv pwb under the pull out keyboard.

Bil- Any update on this? I have a 503 doing the exact same thing.

faxman is exactly correct. I replaced the entire keyboard assembly AGAIN and the unit worked just fine. We took it to the shop and replaced the PWB on the keyboatd and it started working. I guess the "known" good keyboard assembly I originally used wasn't so good after all.
