    [Dead] sharp mx2640 dead.

    Hi guys.

I have said mc that is one day old and dead!

I visited the mc and found the 8amp fuse gone on the dc power supply board. ( the fuse is soldered in )
Anyone else had this on new kit?

I am gonna swop the board hoping that the fault is on the board itself rather than something else blowing it .

I have had 3 on that series blow in the past 8 months.
I believe that is the power supply made by Panasonic...nuff said.

Thanks for the input guys. I have already replaced the fuse and nothing. A board is on order.

Update. Replaced dc board and mc powered up but with e7-11. Replaced scanner board now ok.

Just and FYI, I just fixed a dead 2640 after it worked in customers office for a day. It turned out to be the MFP board that killed it. It was dead except for a red led on the main board.
