    [Error Code] sharp arm 355 l3 00

I am having trouble clearing/fixing an ARM455 Copier with a l3-00 code. I have replaced the home position sensor. Lubed and cleaned the scanner rails. Reconnected the scanner pwb. The code clears but eventually comes back. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

It's an older machine, and you'll start to see less-ordinary problems.

    1) is the scanner cable excessively loose or tight?
    2) is the scanner cable overlapped over itself on the cable drums?
    3) perhaps the scanner motor is failing?
    4) have you moved the scanner manually through it's entire movement? Does it drag on anything? Does it clear the upper frames and lens cover?
    5) Most Sharps have self adhesive chromed metal strips, adhered to the top of the scanner rail, and they can migrate, walk off the side of the scanner rail. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

And don't forget the white rollers that the cable runs through. Haven't had much of an issue with this series but the Cougar ones went out all of the time. As blackcat mentioned you can feel this when you move the scanner through it's full range of motion.

      Good luck.
