    [CQ] L4-02 on Sharp mxm1100

    Hi all.

I serviced this mc on Friday and after about 1k prints it threw up the error code. I looked at the print and one had a horizontal line accross it as if the blade had flipped and there was a bit of fuzzy print on the rear side.

I replaced blade (again) and applied more setting powder and same code again after 1k prints.

I dismantled pcu and checked blade .drum rotation etc..seemed ok

This only has happened since replacing pcu and blade and other 1000k consumables.

I have checked Sharp search and that mentikns a damaged gear in the feed section but I doubt that is the cause as its only since service.

Prior to leaving the job I ran another 1k and it was ok so far....but it may fail again.

    Any ideas appreciated.

A reliable tech told me you might want to check your Paper Feed Joint Pulley (P/N: NPLYZ0418FCZZ) and Pulley 22PS3M (P/N: NPLYZ0419FCZZ) in Tandem Drive unit 2. Make sure the pulley isn't worn down by locating the pin.

Check your serial number on the whole machine, if it's produced before October 2009, you don't have any tandem drive unit mods installed. It would be a lot easier for you to replace the whole tandem drive unit with the new version including all mods CFRM-1298FC32.

As long as you've been using genuine Sharp parts, it's the only reason you'd be getting this code.
