AR-M 207 print driver to usb problems

Trying to load to usb an AR-M207.
The drivers I download from sharpusa has everything but the 207.
The machine wants just the 207.
Does anyone have the original 207 print and scan drivers?

Driving me nuts, which I don't need right now.

    Thanks for the help.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Re: AR-M 207 print driver to usb problems

OMG! An AR-207??? Geez, manufactures are making pretty aggressive moves to rid their servers of having to bandwidth software for older equipment. Especially after Microsoft stopped supporting the record setting run of Windows XP.

I tried to Google that driver for several minutes and came up with nothing *(That's how I found the original T1 driver for the first Sharp AR-M450 as those universal drivers on SharpUSA are NOT the original T1 drivers, are crap, do not allow for end users to manipulate many settings like simply pick a specific tray to print from and the customer is upset)*

I would just level with customer that the software is NOT available and put the copier on the network (Ethernet/NOT USB) with a static IP address. If you use a basic HP driver like for an HP LaserJet 4000 series, in most cases you can print to any copier machine ON A NETWORK. This will usually get your customer up and printing with Letter/Legal paper sizes as long as the copier is setup to AUTO switch trays and the copier trays are configured to PLAIN media. Your customer will think you are a miracle worker and come to you, WHEN THEY FINALLY UPGRADE. Good Luck!

P.S. This is a workaround and the customer will most likely NOT be able to do any "fancy" stuff when printing like stapling, picking trays, etc. As for scanning... that's another whole story, time to upgrade.

"America's Hat" has the drivers you seek. Try Sharp.ca :Product Downloads; you'll find the GDI drivers (for USB) and the Button Manager for scanning.

They need the AR-207 though... (OLD, old machine) not the M207...? Oops, Maybe I read it wrong. Regardless my previous post will work for most any printer NON-USB as a workaround when dealing with "the driver is no longer available".

          I've got twain print/scan drivers for ARM160/205 but I haven't got twain print/scan driver for ARM207.

I'm not sure if the drivers will work or not...

            I guess I'm confused.

Are you looking for a driver for an AR-207 or an AR-M207? I just can't tell. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

              ARM207.
Driver has all the other ARM series, but not the 207.
Too old to find a NIC for the box.
Just being copier whore till I can find a full time good paying job.

If you have access to SharpNet you can still download the driver and scan software and button manager (required for USB scanning). I've had to go back and set up a couple of these recently for USB.

                  Good luck

Even without Sharpnet the drivers are available at the Sharp Canada site (sharp.ca). Follow the link in my first post?

I have it on good authority that the drivers are still up on Sharpnet in Australia. =^..^=
