    [Jamming] MX-3115 paper size issue

    Greetings!
So, I've got a customer that had an MX-C311 and from tray 2 they were printing on 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 paper with no issues.
Today, they upgraded to an MX-3115 and this same paper jams every time. (POD2_S)

I made sure that I told the machine what size paper it was dealing with... Even tried it from the bypass tray with the same result.
    What else could it be?

    Thanks!

Are you feeding it SEF, sorry, I had to ask?

I thought of that too. STMT-R, correct? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

A lot of the newer Sharp machines have the X and Y (length and width) backwards under the bypass tray settings. So X is really Y and Y is really X...if that makes sense.
As already stated, that size must be run landscape as ANYTHING coming from a C311 would have been landscape.

Yeah, I know it had to be asked. Yes, I tried orienting the paper in both directions.

It has to be in the reduction mode - the paper won't feed between rollers otherwise; the _S indicates 'Still remaining'. If tray is set for statement R, you have another feed problem.

I tried -R in the paper size settings. and I figured the paper would be too short to go the other way.

the machine will feed other size paper with no problem.

Problem Solved.... I growled angrily in the general direction of the tech that set the machine up.
