    What am I missing?

Installed a MX-NB10 network box on a MX-M200D. (first time doing this) Down loaded drivers from Sharp web site but all it prints is garbage. As if they are the wrong drivers. Tried down load from Sharp ca also. Same results.

I'm I missing a step in the installation?

Did you install a PostScript driver or PCL driver?

The MX-NB10 all by itself is PCL only.
In addition, the MX-PK10 is required for PostScript printing. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Did you be sure to set the IP address of the machine?

        No, just using PCL.

In addition to making sure that all the connections are good and that there are no pinched cables, I would hold down the status button on MX-NB10 to print out the Printer Settings list.

If that comes out garbled, it's probably a hardware/installation issue. If that comes over OK, then you can move to network/driver/software issue.

After option install, did you update firmware files via USB cable and software?
