    Sharp MX-2600 C4-02

Hi all last Friday morning I got a call with the C4-02 code. I replaced the PTC unit with one out of another copier and reset the counter. The code cleared but now the pages are blank and jam around the registration rollers, each and every time. I also get F2-22 sometimes F2-24 CODES. I can watch the transfer belt, primary and some times it moves and some times it does not, I have changed out most of the boards. I also got a new PTC sensor in today and it made no differance. Because of the jerky movements of the transfer belt I also swapped out the outer clutch.

    Thanks

If the primary belt isn't moveing properly I would first check the drive gear.

Hi I figured out the F2-24, the magenta LED was not lighting up. We removed the screw and wiggled it a little bit. As for the transfer belt I have swapped it out and still no change. Paper mostly wants to jam at the base of the secondary transfer belt.

If you loaded your PTC incorrectly it stands to reason it may be causing some undue friction on your primary belt.

I checked that several times, I even ordered a new one but it did not change. It is kind of hard to install wrong, it would probably pop a code if it wasn't in right. It would also scratch the transfer belt.
