    Sharp mx5500n color registrations all off wack

    I have done all the calibrations 50-22 etc...Transfer gear??? any help??

            I did all the calibrations and checked door transfer?? I read primary transfer gear could be broken on the inside?? Not to familiar with this model...

                Pull the primary transfer and check the inside of the white drive gear on the rear of the unit.

                          Yes the primary, the gear seems to shred its self if something jams up the transfer belt, if it was not moving you would get something else, but it may be slipping causing the misplacement. Be sure when you run 50-22 that you check the end result! if it is to far off you will have to tweak the laser mirrors left or right with the screws located under the developer and drum units. DON'T attempt to tweak the mirror for the BK, it is your reference point for CMY.

                          If this does not help and the gear on the transfer is OK, then their are further adjustments you can use to align your CMY, see the service manual, or your handy guide for these sims.
