Upload a sample if you have one so we can take a look What is the life on the belt and cleaning blade, did you have a look at your devs?

Mess on the ADF scanner slit can be picked up as RED, even if its not, when doing colour copies, as the scanner used RGB opposed to CYM, causing a red line, is it possible your customer is scanning blk and white documents whilst hitting the colour scan?

Does the red line show on the transfer belt after the cleaning blade and before the magenta drum unit?

If so it is the transfer cleaning blade.

I would replace the magenta charge if its before the blade and cleans up. I have seen intermittent charge cause the problem.

I have had customers scanning documents to folder or email for later printing. The lines of any color were the scan glass had something on it for the back side and they would save file with line already. The only way to tell if this is it is to create a new document or have customer do it and print it if it is clean then have them pull up the document in question and enlarge it and look at the whole document to see if there is any lines before printing.
I finally pin pointed the time frame of scanned documents that all had a black line on this situation.
If you default the printer to mono black and white the line will change to a black and white line when printing if it is a scanned in line.
