A customer called me and wanted User codes on their copier. So I put them in everything worked fine. Then about a month later I get a call saying they can't print from one computer and can not print in color from another. I went through all of the setting I didn't see nothing where it was a page limit on prints. So I disabled user authentication and now everythings back working fine. But the customer still wants user codes. Does anyone know a solution to this problem. Thanks!!

Re: MX-4100n Printing with User Authentication enable
need to put user code in print driver under job handling, retention setting, at each pc that prints to copier. Also if you have users that are allowed only black printing the print driver cannot be set to auto for color, it needs to be set to b/w. -
Re: MX-4100n Printing with User Authentication enable
Had a customer recently upgrade from an MXM354 to an MX3115. Told their IT they needed to update drivers as computers were all locked down with admin restrictions.
Get a call a week later saying they can't print colour, go to site and wouldn't you know it; the IT didn't do a damn thing. They were still printing with the 354 drivers. OF COURSE YOU CAN'T PRINT COLOUR YOU MORONS. CAN NONE OF YOU READ THE PRINTER YOU'RE ATTEMPTING TO USE?!Cthulhu for president! Why settle for the lesser evil?Comment

1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
